Krastova Gora

Krastova Gora is one of the biggest Christian centers in Bulgaria, which attracts a lot of worshipers. The place is located in the middle Rodopi Mountain, 60 km from the city of Plovdiv, 40 km from the city of Asenovgrad and 6 km from Borovo village. The reason why Krastova Gora attracts so many religious people from the whole country is the legend that here is berried a small part of the cross of Christ. In 1936, king Boris III gifted a big 99 kg steel cross. Now there stands its replica, which can be seen on the highest place at the end of the alley. People believe that the cross has wonder power and cures the incurable illnesses. The nature around the Christian complex is very beautiful and the region attracts nature lovers and people looking for peaceful place for rest and relaxation. The complex offers also overnight accommodations.
